Privacy Policy
How Show Me the Codes collects, uses, and protects your information.
Last updated: 2026-06-12
Introduction
Show Me the Codes ("we", "us") is a link-in-bio for indie hackers, builders, and solopreneurs: you claim a username and showcase your products, links, and journey on a single public page at showmethe.codes/<your-handle>. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
- Account information — your email address, and (if you sign in with Google or GitHub) the basic profile details those providers share, such as your name and avatar.
- Profile content — everything you add to your page: username, display name, bio, location, social links, and the product/link cards you create. This content is public and visible to anyone who opens your page.
- Usage data — basic information about how the service is used, to keep it running and improve it.
- Cookies — used to keep you signed in and remember preferences.
- Payment information — if you purchase a paid plan, billing is handled by a third-party payment processor. We never see or store full card numbers.
How We Use Your Information
- Operate the service and render your public page.
- Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- Process paid-plan purchases and send related confirmations.
- Respond to support requests and send important service notices.
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues.
How Your Information Is Shared
We do not sell your personal information. Data is shared only in these cases:
- Your public page — profile content you publish is, by design, visible to everyone. You can unpublish your page at any time from your settings.
- Service providers that help us run the service, under confidentiality terms — currently Supabase (database) and Cloudflare (hosting and content delivery).
- Authentication providers (Google, GitHub) when you choose to sign in with them.
- Legal requirements — to comply with the law or respond to lawful requests.
Data Security
We use industry-standard protections including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission over the Internet is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to protect your information.
Your Rights & Choices
You can access, update, export, or delete your information at any time from your account settings, or by emailing us. Unpublishing your page removes it from public view; deleting your account removes your profile and its content.
Children
The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the date above and, where appropriate, a notice in the service.
